Crux exists so people can meet as themselves in a respectful, safe community. These rules apply to everyone; violations lead to content removal, suspension or permanent bans.

Be yourself

  • You must be 18 or older. Underage users are permanently removed.
  • Photos must be recent, of you and show your face.
  • No impersonation, fake or shared accounts.

Be respectful

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
  • Respect “no” and silence; don’t send repeated unwanted messages.
  • No unsolicited sexual messages or images.

Be safe

  • No nudity, sexual, violent or graphic content.
  • Requests for money, gift cards, crypto, bank details or investments are scams — they’re prohibited; please report them.
  • No advertising, follower farming, solicitation or prostitution.
  • Don’t share others’ personal information without consent.
  • No promotion of illegal drugs, weapons or activities.

Safe dating tips

  • Chat in the app first; consider a video call.
  • Meet in busy public places and arrange your own transport.
  • Tell a friend your plans and use Crux’s post-date check-in.
  • Be wary of anyone asking for money or pushing to move off the app.
  • Leave if you feel unsafe. In an emergency call 112.

Report & block

Tap Report on any profile or chat. Reports are anonymous. Blocked people can no longer see or message you.

Enforcement & appeals

We warn, remove content, suspend or permanently ban depending on severity, and report criminal matters such as child exploitation to authorities. You can appeal decisions in the app.
