Law enforcement requests
This page explains how law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, courts and other competent authorities can submit requests about Crux users. Crux is provided by Futurecode Teknoloji İnovasyon ve Yazılım A.Ş., a hosting provider under Turkish Law No. 5651.
1. How to submit a request
Send your official request preferably to our registered electronic mail (KEP) address futurecode@hs01.kep.tr, or by post to the address below, or by email to info@futurecode.com.tr with the subject “Law enforcement request”. We may verify requests received by email with the issuing authority. Please include the authority, case/reference number and contact details, the legal basis, the identifier of the account (registered phone number with country code, Crux member ID, or IP address with the exact date, time, time zone and, if possible, source port), and the information and period requested.

2. What we keep and can disclose
| Data | Retention | Disclosed on |
|---|---|---|
| Traffic data: phone number, member ID, sign-up and sign-in times, action type and time, IP address, source port, app/device details | 2 years (even after account deletion) | Court order or request by an authority empowered by law |
| Account data: profile details, sign-up date, account status | While the account is active | Court order or request by an authority empowered by law |
| Content: messages, photos, voice notes, plans | While the account is active; content of deleted accounts cannot be recovered | Court order only |
| Voice and video call content | Never recorded | — |
Traffic logs are stored separately from content in tamper-evident form (each entry is cryptographically chained to the previous one). The SHA-256 digest of every file we deliver is recorded.
3. Preservation requests
If you need data preserved while you obtain an order, mark your request as a preservation request. The account is placed on hold as soon as the request is logged: if the user tries to delete it, the account is closed and hidden but its data is kept until the request ends.
4. Removal and access-blocking orders
Orders under Law No. 5651 are carried out within the statutory deadlines (orders under Article 8/A within 4 hours).
5. Emergencies
For an imminent threat to life or physical safety, or child exploitation, put “URGENT” in the subject line; these requests are prioritised. We proactively report child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities (see our child safety standards).
6. Foreign authorities
Crux is operated by a company established in Türkiye. Requests from foreign authorities are assessed under Turkish law and through international mutual legal assistance procedures.
7. User notice
We do not notify the user where the confidentiality of an investigation requires it or the authority has asked us not to.
